  1. I really dont think you can prevent getting the swine flu but you can dramaticaly lower your chances of catching it. The Artical said that there are ways to try and not get it by washing your hands, not touching your face, and covering your cough. The Articles that i read stated that they have raised the level of it to 6 but i personally think there beeing really dramatic about the situation. i dont think the severity of the sickness is that bad unless you live in a country with great poverty.

  2. I read the articles & listened to the rap. They discussed how you can prevent getting the virus & ways to avoid the H1N1 virus as well. It stated that you should wash your hands constantly, keep your hands away from your face (the virus can enter your body easier that way), disinfect surfaces that are commonly shared, & keeping your distance from people who have the swine flu. I agree with Jesse & think that they are being overly-dramatic about the situation. Like they said, the level of H1N1 is a 6, not due to the severity of the illness, but because of the spread of the virus. They recommend that you get the H1N1 vaccine if you are pregnant, live with a child 6 months old or younger, are a health care or emergency personnel, are between the ages of 6 months & 24 years, & are 25-64 years of age and are at higher risk for novel H1N1 because of chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems. Personally, I think that they should just recommend that everyone gets the vaccine so that our country as a whole will be healthier & we can control the "2009 flu pandemic" (which they now call it). This is another article I found about H1N1: http://patients.about.com/od/patientempowermentissues/a/swindflu2009.htm

  3. The prevention of the Swine flu is posible if you protect yourself and help prevent this virus by washing your hands, and following health recomendations. The rap D. john composed is entertainig =] it tells what to do to prevent the H1N1 flu. This has been a big issue to the world but i think if people consider this a problem and are concerned they will prevent the virus from spreading more by following the recomendations doctors say and this illness will stop spreading,i like to think positive.=]

  5. i agree with with everyone like it can be prevented by washing your hands and staying away from people when you have the h1n1. but some people are taking this to serious yea some people have died from it but some people havent so i dont see what the big deal is. the flu is at a high risk right now but you just have to be careful who and what you are around!

  6. I'm going to have to agree with jesse for once. I think that everyone is over reacting, you shouldn't worry about swine to much. Just make sure you wash your hands and don't be a dirt ball. I liked the rap too haha.

  7. After reading the article and listening to the rap, I think that it has come to a point where everybody is over reacting like the others have said. I think because it is a new strand of virus, people are freaking out. There are ways for people to stay healthy and not get so sick by it. I have to agree with Jesse and Andrea, you can't necessarily prevent it. If you're going to get infected, you're going to. Even at times people try so hard to prevent themselves from getting something, but end up getting it anyways. The website had mentioned washing hands, keeping your hands away from your face, disinfecting surfaces that are commonly shared, and keeping contact with others who have swine flu at a minimum. They are great ways to help youI think it is pretty common sense to keep your hands washed ALL the time, so that no germs or a minimum of germs can be spread. In order to not allow it spread even more, we do have to take precautions just like any other cold/flu.

  9. man, h1n1 is pretty sucky, its like it can enter your body in any way. i mean the skin is vonerable to everything. jesse had a pretty good point of not being able to prevent swine flu. i think though you can really actually prevent it enough. if your caucious of what you do and how you protect yourself than its preventable. take my moms advice! hang on to your germ-x!

  11. The H1N1 virus can be prevented in the most simple way, being sanitary. We should already be washing our hands, disinfecting shared surfaces, and covering our cough. I do think that the H1N1 virus is being announced to the public media as if it were the deadliest virus. I do agree with Andrea saying that it is only marked as a 6 due to the spread of the virus & not the severity yet people lack to know that. The vaccine is the last thing that I would probably get to prevent the H1N1 virus. It's still being tested & has side effects such as vomiting, headaches, fever, and muscle pain. Sorry people but I don't want to be your test dummy and die. As for the rap it did entertain me just for the fact that the guy would actually rap about the H1N1 virus.
